It just seems to get out of my hands these posts of ours and before I know it, it's been a couple of weeks since the last, though I have excuses.
Well, Kai is still a bundle of joy, it's just now he's a wiggly, bundle of joy.
He's been lifting his bum of the ground and then pushing with his legs. This, combined with bringing his legs to his chest and turning, has meant we can usually expect Kai not to be in the same position in the cot as when we left him.
His head where his feet where, no problem.
Upside down with his legs out the side bars. Been there, done that.
This has lead to all sorts of nicknames for our lovely son like Fox, Wiggler and Ferret.
His routine thankfully is really on track now, thanks to Kelly, and Kai naps and feeds exactly when he is hungry. This has meant that Kai usually grabs a long nap at eight o'clock and then a couple of shorter ones throughout the rest of the day. He's been a lot easier to put down as well now that he knows what's coming.
At night, after his last bottle, I give him a shower then sing to him in the nursery. By the second chorus, I pop him into bed and he generally doesn't even complain or need us to stay with him. Some times he'll wake up before he's had a good sleep so we'll shush, rub his chest and he quietens.
At least with all of this Kai is somewhat predictable. Well, after sixteen weeks he is. Or maybe we're just coming to understand him better.

As you can see with Kelly being on Maternity leave, she has a lot of time on her hands. That should come to an end soon as she will be starting work again after Easter. I know she needs to do it but, my goodness, isn't Kai going to be smothered with love when she gets home.

by the way that last comment was from me... JENNA just in case u didn't get that i just had a blonde moment. hehe! ur house looks so cute, but will look much better once all the teddy's n trinkets n grandma furnitue is removed. i can't believe kai is growing so fast. i miss him!!! i'll try to come up n visit soon, i'll see how we go with naths new job. well stay happy, talk soon. luv u all. mwah
