Yes, we have left the building...

Lo,
For those following the saga,
the last blog could alternatively be called thus, "The Couvade Syndrome".
On top of it all, Kelly and I are on the tail end of a delightful, respiratory tract infection. So, don't breathe while you read this, ok.
As you might have guessed, we got out and about yesterday, driving down to Noosa/Maroochydore.
The reasons we had for the trip are made clear (pic 1).
I thought that it was particularly helpful that the pram shop we visited had their very own baby to testdrive with. The pram has those big, pump up wheels that are great for when you go off-pathing.
Now you might think that these were our first baby bits o'furniture but we've actually already bought an old wardrobe (pic 2) to do up.
So, this is added to the list of things to be done before the arrival, along with putting up a wall, decorating and polishing the floors. Of course, all this to be done by me as Kelly is now tired for two. Will still have enough energy to supervise though, which is great.
For those not in the know, we are into the Second Trimester, so this is when Kelly supposedly starts feeling better. Cross your fingers. All of you. Please...

There's a party in my tummy...

I'm tired, having mood swings, constantly hungry and if I don't eat I feel sick.
My backs sore, i've thrown up and now my pants are getting tighter.

Hi, my name is Evan and i'm a Sympathetic.

All is well here, Kelly is at least keeping 73.4% of her food down and is eating vegetables.
If you didn't know, Kelly and I had turned our diet Vegetarian, much to the scorn of our friends, before the start of this year.
The way things of this nature work is that once Kelly had a feeling she was pregnant, she was suddenly turned off all those vegetarian meals we had perfected and proceeded to launch herself at anything vaguely moving to get a piece.
For awhile, I tried to stick to my diet (not the losing weight kind) while Kelly rendered limbs, and this led to my having to eat in a seperate room.
But, you know pregnant women and those crafty noses. I, of course, had to follow suit lest Kelly's laid out dinner become a spread.
Will we go back, who knows. I for one like tofu (not plain, yuck).
Right now, it's all about getting the food in and keeping it there.
Once we've fixed that lock, we can be a bit more choosey about the guests.

Hello Tacos, it's great tostida...
Hay Chips, I see you've brought Gravy, come on in...
Alright Cheese, work it, yoghurt Girl!
Don't Choc 'till you get enough...

Evan go sleep now.

I will end up the janitor in the basement of the Institute of this family

So hay,

We finally left the house last weekend and headed to Brisbane overnight, for a show (Dylan Moran). We don't normally get out to much these days, especially at nights as lil' bub keeps zapping Kel's energy.
After the show, as we walked along back to the Hotel, I had to support Kelly as she tried desperately not let her dinner spill onto the pavement.
The two of us didn't turn any heads though, it is Brisbane.
Just like old times.
I'm really looking forward to being a dad, being able to teach the little tyke right and/or wrong, which mix's not to use at cold rock, inform them as to which cereal a chicken likes and what the spaces between the teeth on a comb are called.
I don't know that last one...
