Photo's in the Park

I finally got this photo from work today and I thought it was a lovely pic of Kai. I know what you are thinking, work? We have team photo's in the park each time we get a new team member. I didn't have anyone to look after Kai so I had to bring him along, lucky my Boss brought his little boy along aswell so they could play together and well, run away together.Between shots James and I were running down the hill after our very energetic boys. But we did manage to get some good pics, eventually, we did use a bit of bribery to get the boys to sit still. Towards the end, Ashley was taking random shots of us packing up and somehow managed to take a really nice one of Kai. So I thought I would share it with you.

Take care
Kelly

Hi All,

We are very overdue for some new photos.

As you can see he has taken to all things musical. He loves the guitar and the drums and loves being in the centre of attention.

Kai loves being outside, he will spend hours in the garden exploring, digging, collecting things and having rides in the wheelbarrow (If only there was room for me)

The study. The gate is usually closed, but when it is left open, Kai will make a run for it and not get off the chair.

Kai is growing up and I am glad he is over the baby stage. He is talking so much, it is so nice to understand each other. Almost time for potty training (2 in November) and a big bed, I am enjoying this stage so much I don't think it is time for baby #2 just yet.

Talk to you soon, hopefully

Kelly

Will fill Mill 'till spill

Hello all.

Well, we have been keeping ourselves busy these last few weeks.
Mainly though, Kai has been getting the flu on and off a few times and is now a bit chesty which is never good. You can really hear him breathe. This doesn't help his mood at all.
At least now it's much easier to know what he wants as he tells quite vocally. Even coming up to us with a cereal box and saying Weet Bix. It won't be long before he starts saying Crunchy Nut Cornflakes.

We're ok. Kelly is addicted to farmtown on facebook which is no bad habit to have, it's just weird I guess being the one waiting to use the computer or watch a movie together. At least now with a widescreen monitor she can play on one half while Kai watches firetruck videos and songs about elephants on the other. Who said parenting was hard.

I had to quit it because I felt bad taking away her precious harvesting time.
That and the fact that in about a months time I will be starting Uni doing a Bachelor of Science, Majoring in Psychology. I figure it's about time to do something that I enjoy and that just happens to be taking things apart.

We jostled ourselves out to Broweena last weekend ago for the Q150 and were pleasently suprised at how much Kai liked watching the corn being milled. With this and his love of animals and tractors, I think he may just grow up to be a farmer. Just like his mother.

(Above - At least this tractor had a handy seatbelt :)

(Above - This was Kai's first horse and cart ride.)

(Above - Sometimes when I see how small he is and how big he will get, full of all that we can teach him, I feel so happy. I can't wait.)

(Above - The lady who ran this only told Kelly you had to pay to get in once Kai and I were in there. What a gyp.)

(Above - He wanted us to leave him alone :)

Okay, stick around because after this short break you're going to find out what happens to Kai when he has his first haircut.

Somewhere Under The Sea

We have ventured outside this weekend
and we choose to dive into a fairly close attraction, Underwater World.

The drive was great, although we woke up a bit late as we had both been out for drinks the night before. Trust Kai to be happy in his cot on this occasion. He travels quite well now as long as we have food, drinks, books, a steering wheel of his own, baby einstein on a mobile phone and the gentle, soothing monotones of his parents.

We really want Kai to see and experience everything so going to U.W.W. seemed like a great idea and chance to get Kai away from his vehicular fascination, little did we realize...
What the hell!!! We thought this was going to be all fish and stuff and the first thing Kai see's is a massive car. Oh sure, it's an "Aquarium", but that didn't stop Kai from wanting to go for a scuba drive.

Anyway, Kai seemed to take it all in and was really calm. He liked all the colors. And wasn't worried by the apparent closeness of all the sea creatures.

The sharks made an impression. He just kept saying their name for awhile, probably because we said it so much (there were quite a few). When we went through the tunnel, a massive stingray loomed across the top and Kai just pointed. No worries.

He loved getting up close and personal with anything. Which is great when it's the otter enclosure, but not so great when there are crocodiles, swordfish and little fingers involved.

While the statues show a pretty lively couple of otters, the real ones were sound asleep. But it was that or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Show. Actually we forgot to go to it. I was devastated. I've got donatello in a box somewhere.

Kai loved the seals. He watched them first in one of those shows, but was completely taken aback when we went down and watched them through the glass. He liked the way they swam past the glass again and again. He kept saying "more". He got a fright though when one seal swam up really close to him without him seeing it happen. The seal stayed there for ages and Kai was besotted.

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.
We can't wait to go back.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter.

Hello

Kai and Kelly are great. We've all got a touch of flu but nothing's gunna break our stride. Kai has more than half his allocated teeth and brushes them with no fuss. That didn't long at all. Love from us.

You're fit but my gosh don't you know it.

Hay one and all,

All here is grand. As we throw ourselves into this year many things have changed.
My new job has certainly grown on me, I feel a lot fitter. Early, early mornings riding into work and hot and sweaty days in and out of a van lifting parcels. I know Maryborough now like the back of my hand. (Insert joke about hairy hands)

I hope to start studying soon since I really feel like I should be filling my brain with more than pulp fiction and sugary news. Something that I'll enjoy, unlike stabbing people.
I miss that though. I have a few ideas but we'll see what comes up.

Kelly has been planning a lovely garden space for Kai. The fact that the aforementioned space never grew grass and was always littered with, uhh, Kora's musings had nothing to do with it.
Even our balcony has been redone so that Kai can't fall off. Although to fall he would have had to back off or been running, slipped and then slid under the bottom railing, which Kora has already done.

Well, things with Kai have definitely changed since last I posted. He walks and talks, kiss and hug and knows the difference between Daddy and a Backhoe. Amazing.
He that large and completely boyish fascination with anything vehicular. Mainly their wheels.

I couldn't pass up this chance to finally get Kai what he has always wanted his whole life.
A miniature remote controlled car. A helicopter would have been to dangerous.
He has a blast chasing around the table, peering under the couch and finally pouncing on it when it inevitably runs into a chair leg or out of batteries. I keep it safe for him until next time.

Kai has also started Daycare on Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm sure Kelly can fill you in more as i'm always at work before they wake up. Apparently Kai was not too fond of being left without his Mum but they have trucks and other boys and girls to play with and he has settled into it.

I'm sure there is more.
There always is.
I'm carried away by it all.

Sincerely,
The twit who forgets to get around to posting frequently enough to keep anyone interested.
